We are delighted to announce Arts Council England Covid-19 Emergency Funding for our director Hendrick January awarded in July 2020.
As recognition for the work Hendrick January has done in both the field of directing women's voices and neurodiversity, he was awarded a special Covid-19 grant by the Arts Council for England.
Having directed a film of Franca Rame's comedic one-woman monologue, Coming Home, during lockdown Hendrick has now directed three of the Italian Playwright's work. See below for the first two, performed as theatre pieces in London in January 2020.

A mother + Medea - two plays by Franca Rame
A Mother: A Mother coaxes us into her experience of anguish, guilt and anger, as she grapples with the monster she has created. We share a mother's torment as the play takes on an increasingly nightmarish quality and she descends into her final hell.

Medea: Taking it's cue from the Euripides tragedy, Franca Rame's Medea explores the sexual politics of motherhood, and its ultimate taboo - infanticide.
Performed by Jane Gwilliams.
Directed by Hendrick January.
Produced by Emma Mahony.
Music by Herbert Homer-Warbeck
